Finding True MeaningsLiterature is more than just words taking up space on a page and that's exactly the point I make in my Foster paper which is displayed to the left. This was one of the very first assignments given in my AP class and it was probably my least favorite out of the stack of papers I've obtained over the semesters. The assignment was to apply theories from How to Read Literature Like a Professor by Thomas C. Foster to another piece of literature and in this case I chose Markus Zusak's The Book Thief. If I were asked to present some of my greatest works from AP literature and composition would say this paper made the cut. It gave me the chance to be a deeper and more critical thinker when it comes to reading any piece of literature.

Crucial Building BlocksA story illustrated within a few amount of pages that presents a bigger picture of relationships and the people we hold closets. Sounds interesting doesn't it? That is what I thought as I wrote my pivotal passage paper or in this case my paper titled Crucial Building Blocks. This paper focused on Franz Kafka's book, The Metamorphosis and the themes threaded within the pages. I find that this paper highlights some of my best analytical moments in AP literature and composition.

Wanted: Heroes of Past StoriesEveryone enjoys a good story where a hero is born, but it's even better when you compare two well known heroes together. That's exactly what I did in my paper Wanted: Heroes of Past Stories where I compared one of the main characters from the Star War series with the daughter of famous Oedipus. I am proud to share this paper because in my opinion it is one of few response papers that contain my analytical abilities and the introduction is one of my most creative paragraphs I've written.
